Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Policy

Policy Statement & Commitment

Peritum International is a premier engineering and project management firm committed to delivering excellence and driving progress in the global energy, resources, and infrastructure sectors. Our motto, “we engineer the future,” extends beyond technical proficiency to encompass a deep-seated responsibility towards the environment, our people, our communities, and transparent governance.

This ESG Policy outlines our commitment to integrating sustainable and ethical practices into every facet of our operations—from project conception to delivery. We believe that a strong ESG framework is fundamental to managing risk, creating long-term value, and building a resilient, future-ready business. We are dedicated to meeting and exceeding the expectations of our clients, employees, and stakeholders while contributing positively to the regions where we operate: Central Asia, the Middle East, and India.

This policy is endorsed by our leadership and applies to all employees, contractors, and partners working on behalf of Peritum International.

Pillar 1: Environmental Stewardship

As a firm that shapes the physical world, we recognize our profound responsibility to protect it. We are committed to minimizing the environmental impact of our operations and the projects we deliver.

Our Commitments:

Sustainable Engineering & Design:

  • Integrate principles of energy efficiency, resource conservation, and circular economy into our Greenfield and Brownfield engineering solutions.
  • Prioritize designs that reduce emissions, minimize water consumption, and limit waste generation for our clients in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Water, Power, and Mining industries.
  • Actively promote and implement innovative technologies, such as 3D laser scanning, to optimize revamp projects, reduce rework, and minimize on-site environmental disruption.

Climate & Carbon Management::

  • Measure, monitor, and actively work to reduce the carbon footprint of our own corporate operations.

  • Support our clients in their energy transition and decarbonization goals by providing expert engineering solutions for lower-carbon technologies and renewable energy projects.

  • Incorporate climate risk and resilience assessments into our feasibility studies and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) processes.

Waste & Resource Management:

  • Implement robust waste management protocols in our offices and at project sites, focusing on reduction, reuse, and recycling.

  • In our project material and warehouse management, optimize logistics and inventory control to prevent waste and ensure efficient use of resources.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure strict compliance with all applicable environmental laws and regulations in every jurisdiction we operate in, holding international standards (such as ISO 14001) as our benchmark.

Pillar 2: Social Responsibility

Our people and the communities we work within are the foundation of our success. We are dedicated to fostering a safe, inclusive, and equitable environment where everyone can thrive.

Our Commitments:

Health, Safety, and Wellbeing

  • Uphold a “zero-harm” safety culture across all project sites and offices, adhering rigorously to international (e.g., OSHA) and local safety standards.

  • Provide comprehensive health and safety training, robust risk assessments, and the necessary protective equipment for all personnel involved in mechanical, electrical, and utility installations.

  • Promote employee wellbeing through supportive workplace policies and mental health resources.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I):

  • Foster a diverse and inclusive workforce that reflects the global nature of our business.

  • Commit to equal opportunity in our recruitment, development, and promotion processes, free from discrimination or harassment.

  • Cultivate an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are valued as a source of innovation and strength.

Community Engagement & Development:

  • Engage respectfully and proactively with local communities in our project areas.

  • Prioritize local hiring and sourcing for materials and services where feasible, contributing to local economic development.

  • Support community initiatives focused on education, skill development, and environmental improvement.

Ethical Labour Practices:

  • Ensure fair labour conditions, prohibit forced and child labour, and respect the rights of workers throughout our operations and supply chain.

Pillar 3: Governance & Ethical Conduct

Integrity and transparency are the cornerstones of our business. We are committed to the highest standards of corporate governance to ensure accountability, build trust, and operate ethically at all times.

Our Commitments:

Ethical Business Practices:

  • Maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy for bribery, corruption, and any form of unethical business conduct.

  • Conduct all business dealings with honesty and integrity, as outlined in our Code of Conduct.
Provide clear channels for reporting ethical concerns without fear of retaliation.

Robust Risk Management:

  • Integrate ESG factors into our comprehensive risk management framework, covering project delivery, supply chain, and corporate functions.

  • Ensure robust contracts and claims management processes that are fair, transparent, and compliant with all legal requirements.

Supply Chain Management:

  • Partner with suppliers and contractors who share our commitment to ESG principles.

  • Conduct due diligence on our partners to ensure compliance with our standards on ethics, labour, and environmental performance.

  • Promote material traceability and certification to guarantee quality and responsible sourcing.

Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting:

  • Maintain open and transparent communication with our clients, employees, investors, and regulatory bodies.

  • Commit to monitoring, measuring, and reporting on our ESG performance and progress against the commitments laid out in this policy.

Implementation and Review

The leadership of Peritum International is responsible for the implementation of this ESG Policy. This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure its continued relevance and effectiveness and will be updated to reflect evolving best practices, regulations, and stakeholder expectations. We will track our performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) for each pillar and communicate our progress to our stakeholders.
